I have made much progress in the last 32 months. I know that I cannot lie to myself about you. I have exhausted much effort to cease thinking about you. Memories so vague that I might soon believe we never happened upon each other. I envy your strength to discard me and my very existence as if the daily trash. I confess the distance was brutal, yet a necessity to repair my heart strings you strummed and plucked out of tune. I lost sight of myself and everything else. I became something and someone that I am not. We’ll never know the possibilities, the potential as you were never mine to have. Your heart elsewhere. You never lied though you never told the whole truth. Your secrets buried deep within your soul even out of your reach. You wandered aimlessly to any and every fool that would take you.
