The mind plays tricks as I sleep

I dreamt of you last night. I haven’t in so long. I don’t even remember any of the past dreams except this time the dream was crystal clear. The house exploded into flames. I was outside when it happened. I remembered you were in the house and so was my son. I didn’t care about you. I began screaming for my son. I ran through the wreckage. I didn’t feel the heat. The smoke cleared and from the plume you rose carrying my son. Your arms cradled his limp body. You gave him to me. Your fingertips were burnt to a crisp. You said nothing. You saved my son. I owe you my life.

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
