Only a glimpse of death

Thanks to you I have self confidence. I am capable of anything, and I do it well. I am no longer afraid of intimacy and vulnerability. That in itself, I place you on a pedestal. Your self righteousness and false security intimidates others or perhaps it is only I. I still can’t comprehend the power I gave you. Again, you resemble my father and no longer was I a grown woman but, that weak frightened little girl.

Some of our best moments though few, were after our worst. Indeed you gave me many chances however, you ignited the fire below my feet and secretly hoped I burn before you.
To your surprise, I had risen from the ashes.

I’ve become a new person. Even stronger than before your acquaintance. Hardened by pain, my wounds have healed and unbelievably, still have the ability to care.

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
