Say I love you when you’re not listening

I built a fortress, I layed every brick carefully to hide my heart from ever being damaged again. Despite my every effort to shield myself from this. Every time you gaze into my eyes you break down my walls and get closer and closer to my heart.
For now I will keep my distance,
Say I love you when you’re not listening, or sleeping, or leaving for work.
You’ve broken my walls, my heart and my trust.
I let you in, stupidly, and willingly opened the door to have you hurt me.
I want you out of my head, my heart, my mind.
I dream of you every night, wake up with my heart feeling like its going to pop out of my chest.
And then I have to look at you. Everyday. With your blank heartless eyes.
Do you care at all? Or are you too emotionally void and wrapped up in yourself.

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
