This is the day I die (July 10th)

I woke to my teenager detaching the (my) cord from my iPhone. I don’t think they ever went to sleep. Thus far, they have accumulated most hours played; Bosses(or beasts?!), defiled in Elden Ring. Sorry, my ADHD can get the best of me.

Nightmare: A friend and I were at a table. I cannot recall which friend. I do not recall if at the police station, or back room of a bar closest to the dumpster. I yelled at the two white men in suits. I do not recall what spewed and unfiltered. I do recall the blue- suited man. He raised his right arm with a .22. My friend ran out the door. I stood and thought the .22 was a toy gun. The man fired a bullet. I knelt swiftly under the table knocking the chair on its hind. The sudden silence eerie. My ears perked to a footstep.

I think to myself. The long hand stopped.

This is the very moment I die. I wonder how many caps I get and where. No thought of being spared. I pray I am not to be violated again, and this round there is two. I close my eyes. I whisper through clenched lips I love you to my teenager followed with a GOODBYE—-here I come God..

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
