Excerpt (Vin & Anne)

He didn’t make the first move and his response lacked confidence. Enter Anne. Her ex occupied too much head space and she needed distraction. Their conversations open-ended. Vin chose not to speak concisely. Subtle hints if Anne drank too much. His hesitation due to the tremendous intensity between them. It is certain in another place and time, they would be the best of friends and lovers. This reality is flawed and more than once, she didn’t choose him. He regrets that he didn’t invite her inside, to be the one- night stand instead of a meaningless, long and overdelayed rebound. Vin hated being “in competition” and having to beg for her attention. And now, he imagines she has new hobbies to keep her honest.

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
