Widow maker

The first year I couldn’t allow myself to get close to anyone. I avoided my friends, and as no surprise, escape within four walls, wine, and Netflix. I tried to get close to you. I faltered. I was intimidated by you except in my drunken stupor; I could muster the confidence needed to handle you. Well, this year has been different. I am venturing out into the Freeze and at times dethaw with those of similar vices. Little by little, I am finding joy in the simplest things and kindness of strangers. I think I’m letting go and learning to trust again. The melancholy and madness is subsiding. There is life without you.

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
