Toto, I don’t think we are in Kansas anymore Cont’d.(anonymous, Best of CL, #oneofmyfaves)

Dorothy was so confused. Before waking up in the poppy field, her last memory had been of getting her chores done, sneaking into her bedroom and stripping of the silly dress she wore every day, looked like a damn picnic table cloth. Then, making sure the coast was clear, she and Toto snuck out her window. They ran from the farm, Dorothy luxuriating in the jeans her friend Muffy had given her, and wearing a boys shirt, with the sleeves rolled up, which showed her farm tan, and the muscles that were slowly developing from mucking out stalls, and hoisting bales of hay. Toto started announcing their arrival at the watering hole. a couple boys from town were already waiting, with a case of beer, and a bottle of fireball, Dorothy loved it, the sweet fire which burned as it went down. She was getting drunk. Toto had begun to whine uneasily. Muffy and Ray Bob were makin out, Dorothy noticed Bubba’s hand finally, as Toto had begun to growl. In shock, she felt his hand was under her shirt, his rough hand grabbing her breast, she stumbled up, lurching uneasily towards the waters edge, then she slipped on one of the moss covered rocks, hitting her head on another, knocking her out cold…..to be continued…

Walking a fine line between genius and insanity. My words are raw, sometimes visceral, and vulgar.  I write to settle my thoughts.  I have triggers that extract emotional immaturity, deep- rooted fears, anger, insecurity, vulnerability, yet I heal with every stroke of the pen.  I might be that monster.  I sometimes scare myself.  Please keep this in mind as you read.  I do not wish to provoke you, though stories need to be told. *not all posts are in real time
